Fortnite V7.30 patch sets the scene

Fortnite’s latest patch dropped today, and it set the scene for the final phase of the season.
The latest version of the game introduces the latest snow-themed weaponry in the Chiller Grenade. This cool new explosive will knock players back, and makes them – and any vehicles – slip as if being on ice for seven seconds. It is a common rarity drop that comes in stacks of three and can be found from Floor Loot and Vending Machines.
The Vault Doors have been opened, and we can wave goodbye to several classic boomsticks such as the Bolt-action Sniper Rifle, the Burst Rifle, the Heavy Shotgun and the SMG. We get something back, however, as the Suppressed SMG returns.
The new patch also introduces a new Limited Time Mode called Solid Gold. It makes all weapon spawns Legendary and increases materials received from gathering, helping all players get to top shape faster. Meanwhile, the new Architect Pop-Up Cup keeps most of the previous settings, but player-built structures can now be edited by any player.
The new patch also brings a series of technical optimizations and bugfixes. The biggest news is the coming support for Bluetooth controllers in mobile, allowing players on such devices more control in the game. The game now extends its 60Hz coverage with several new Android mobile devices such as the US version of Samsung Galaxy Note 9, the Huawei Honor View 20 and the Huawei Mate 20 X.
The new patch brings piano keys and music blocks for the Creative system to help the budding sound engineer in you find an expression. For those interested in less traditionally artistic pursuits, the Arctic Base prefabs bring a lot of other ways to spice up the map. Тhe mode also gives more options in allowing permissions to edit the island, controlling respawn and end times, and introduces several more devices and other elements you can introduce to your own islands.
Meanwhile, those of us who want to Save the World get several new tricks as well, such as X-Ray Llamas – an inside look of the Llama – and an infin… oops, Spectral blade that can cleave enemies. It can be yours if you complete the week’s Frostnite Challenge, Uncharted Territory. The game also introduces Bulk Crafting which allows you to craft multiple traps, ammo, ingredients and downtiered items.
